Edward C. M. Kang, director, chair, co-founder

 

Mr. Kang is the founder of Edward C. M. Kang, CPA & Co., a leading tax, accounting and business consulting firm in New York City serving a wide range of corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals. The firm had broad spectrum of industries, including import/export, wholesales, real estate, petroleum production, supermarkets, apparel distributions, professional services(law, medicine, engineering) and all types of non-profit organizations, large and small. Prior to his own firm, he worked at Texaco, responsible for accounting for oil exploration and foreign government negotiation, covering the entire Eastern Hemisphere, Australia, Africa and a part of Western Europe.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Kang is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was an adjunct professor in the New York City. He has been active in Korean community. He was a member of board of the directors for Korean American Association of Greater New York. He is currently serving as a member of board of directors for various Non-Profit organizations. The organizations include Research Foundation for Korean Community, Korea Music Foundation and Korean Language Teachers Association. He was the President of Seoul National University Alumni Association in Greater New York City Metropolitan Areas.

His and Mrs. Kang’s interests include music, arts, traveling and various sports.
